On the quest to find parts for our Birk bus restoration Alientransporter visited Old Speed in Paramount, California. According to their web site "Old Speed is able to provide just about any parts you may need for your air-cooled VW. Old Speed also has a full stock of good used parts available including engines, trans, body, and interior parts, including whole parts cars." We spoke to Russ and he said they specialize in converting the suspension of Transporters Spit or Bay window which will allow faster freeway speeds and disc brake conversion. Russ was kind enough to show us around and let us take a few pictures. Hit them up when you need to upgrade your Transporter! |
